As a catering service, our main function is food! Our trained, professional staff is dedicated to providing the highest level of catering services. The quality of your food, however, does not rest upon the chefs alone. Every member of the Catering Department receives monthly training on food and beverage services, as well as day-to-day experience on the job.
This summary provides you with fresh, contemporary menus. However, this represents only a starting point. Our commitment is to customize and create whatever is required to provide your guests with
an unforgettable experience.
Placing Your Order
Placing your order is now even easier than ever. You can place your order online with at least three business days advanced booking. Please note that orders placed with less than 13 days advanced notice require that you call the Catering Department to confirm your order. Please have your order number ready and call 907.474.6820.

The Catering Department is located in the Lola Tilly Commons at 411 Tanana Loop East. The Catering Department is located in the basement of the Lola Tilly. You should call ahead before visiting either office in person as we are often away from our desks attending to catering events. We would be more than happy to make an appointment with you.
Additional Catering Services
The UAF Catering Department provides many additional services to meet your needs and to serve the campus community. Listed here are many of the standard services that we provide. We are always willing to customize our services to meet your specific circumstances. Please give us a call so that we can help you plan a successful event.
The UAF Catering Department will dress your buffet and dining tables to suit your needs as an included service with all catering events. Please be sure to let our catering staff know about your specific linen needs (such as number and size(s) of tables) If you need additional linen (i.e. for presentation, display, registration, or other non-dining related tables), we will be happy to provide such service at a nominal cost.

We will be happy to make arrangements to provide floral arrangements and other decorations at your event. Please contact the catering department for information.
Alcoholic Beverage Service and No Host Bars
The UAF Catering Department can provide alcohol and bartending services for your catered event. We provide both No Host "Cash" Bars as well as a hosted bar services. We would be happy to assist you in selecting beverages to compliment your menu or purchase beverages on your behalf. We can also accept and "uncork" your alcohol if you wish to provide your own alcohol.
Alcoholc Beverage Service on the UAF Campus or for UAF events located off-campus requires that you have approval of the Chancellor or designee (the Director of Auxiliary, Recharge, and Contract Operations) in addition to a permit from the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.
UAF Policy permits the sale of beer and wine only at events held on the UAF Campuse and UAF events located offf-campus. An authorized representative of the University must be present for the duration of the event to ensure that all obligations specified in the application and permit is fulfilled.

The Alcohol Beverage Application can be found on the website for Auxiliary, Rechare, and Contract Operations. It must be submitted two weeks prior to the event.
No Host Bars: A minimum of 50 guests is required to retain a No Host “Cash” Bar and beverages prices are determined by the Catering Department. There is a minimum charge of the lesser of $6.00 per guest or $500 to cover the No Host Bar (i.e. revenue is only $350 and there are 100 guests, then the host will be charged the difference of $150). No bartender fee is applied for a No Host Bar.
Alcohol permit $100.00/event*
Bartender fee $50.00/bartender-hour**
*Event is defined by Alcoholic Beverage Control. The Catering Department works in compliance with all applicable law and will charge for the number of permits that we are required to purchase by the ABC Board.
**A minimum charge of four hours for each bartender will be applied. At least thirty minutes before and after the start and end of the event are charged for the setup and breakdown of the event.
