For questions regarding your application, changes, cancellations, billing, etc. please contact Business and Auxiliary Services at 907-474-6661. NMS Staff do not have access to your meal plan or student account due to FERPA regulations.

Declining Balance NEW!
Q. What's included with the new Declining Balance plans?
A. Everything!
Enjoy maximum flexibility with Declining Balance plans which can be used at all on-campus Dining Services locations. Treat family and friends using your board plan funds which can be spent any way you fancy. You are not restricted to any dining location or meal, you can use it at any time even after the semester ends because Munch Money does not expire until two years after your last active affiliation with the University.
This plan is great for parents because your student may only use Munch Money at dining locations on campus and for snacks at vending machines but you know that your student will be able to use it at any dining location on campus, where ever and whenever without any restrictions.

Block Plans
This plan entitles you to All You Care To Eat Meals at the Lola Tilly Commons and the Breakfast Buffet at Grill 155 in the Wood Center.
Block meals may be exchanged in the equivalency of $5 towards any food or beverage purchase at any UAF Dining Services retail location (excluding Subway Campus Cache).
Each plan includes Munch Money which may be used in all UAF Dining Services locations.
Both munch money and block meals are fully transferable, allowing you to bring friends and family to eat with you. |
Traditional Meal Plans
This plan entitles you to an unlimited number of All You Care To Eat Meals for at the Lola Tilly Commons and Breakfast at the Wood Center Grill 155 (Platinum Only).
Each plan includes Munch Money which may be used in all UAF Dining Services locations.
Traditional Board plans does not have guest privileges.
Choose Dine-in OR To-Go during each meal period. Platinum and Gold meal plans may only be used for/by the cardholder.

10 Meal Block
$85.00 per 10-block
This is the perfect option for those that do not have a meal plan but frequent the Lola TIlly. The plan is just $85.00 which averages out to big savings (and convenience) rather than paying cash for the same 10 meals (lunch or dinner).
- The 10 Meal Block is fully transferable, allowing you to pay for guests.

- The 10 Meal Block is not valid as a substitution for students who are required to have a meal plan as a condition of University Housing requirements.

Meal Cards
Present your UAF PolarExpress Card at our dining locations. At Lola TIlly Commons or Grill 155 (Breakfast) we will deduct one block meal (Gold and Platinum Plans: Card is used to verify you are entitled to a meal plan). At all other retail locations and for non-meal plan transactions, your declining balance may be used.
Lost Your Meal Card?
Lost or stolen ID Cards can be replaced. Should this happen to you, please notify the Polar Express Office immediately and make arrangements for a replacement card. You can find the Polar Express Office on the first floor of the Eielson Building or by calling 907-474-1547.
Important Info
Welcome, Guests
Have a guest over for dinner! All new Block Plans will allow you to bring a friend or family member for any meal simply by using an extra block meal.
Carryout and Sick Tray Policy
We are happy to provide carryout meals as well as a sick trays as our overall goal to ensure that we can best meet your needs.

Dietary Requirements
Do you have particular dietary needs? No problem! Our Campus Dining Services Program can accommodate your special dietary requirements. For more information, please contact the Executive Chef or General Manager to schedule an appointment to discuss your specific needs.
Dining Policies & Procedures
One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:
- Please bus your tray and disposables from your table when you have finished dining.
- Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
- Remember that meal cards are non-transferable. Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the meal plan purchaser.
- One meal credit is equal to either one meal in the dining room, or one “To GO” container with one fountain beverage. No leftovers are to be removed from the dining room.
Your PolarExpress Card
Your PolarExpress Card must be presented to use your meal plan, cash equivalency, or declining dollars. Your PolarExpress Card is the only way that our staff can identify you and confirm you are the proper plan holder.
Seconds Anyone?
You never have to be too shy to ask for seconds with our Campus Dining Program. Our generous policy allows for a second helping of many menu favorites within the Lola Tilly Commons. All you have to do is ask! Please note, however, our seconds policy excludes
Premium Meal Theme nights like Steak Night.
